We collect the published formulas from university extension services and state agencies and turn them into fast, free calculators that work on a phone in a field.
Every calculator explains its method and cites its sources. The numbers are planning estimates: animals, soils, weather, and firewood all vary, so use the results as a starting point and lean on your local extension office, veterinarian, or fisheries biologist for site-specific advice.
